Classic Pensacola Wedding || Jessica + Shane

I met Jessica+Shane and their moms early this year when they were actively looking for a wedding photographer for their classic Pensacola wedding. After some deliberation, I was super excited to find out they chose us to photograph their most important memories – the birth of their family!
Jessica, dedicated and quiet, is a perfect puzzle piece for outgoing Shane. The couple went to the same high school, but met much later, in the summer of 2015 at an orientation at work and they hit it off instantly. They bonded over their love of shrimp at The Grand Marlin and their first big trip together was a road trip from Pensacola to Key West, during which they had the best conversations in the car getting to know each other. Jessica loves how Shane looks at her when she is talking because she knows he is listening to every word and puts her first at all times. Shane loves Jessica’s kind and caring heart and feels complete being married to her. So romantic, so tender and gentle!
So the wedding preparations began, and the couple chose to get married in downtown Pensacola. For their wedding Ceremony, they selected Old Christ Church and for Reception the boutique hotel Lee House, where the couple and their families stayed during the wedding weekend. Stephanie, with Lee House, was outstanding in keeping everything and everyone on point during the wedding, before and after. Deshi and Volume One teamed up to prepare Jessica and her mom’s hair and make-up. For a sentimental touch, the Bride’s garter was made from her mom’s veil.
During the first look, Shane was very emotional  – it was a very touching moment – but, he was even more surprised when Jessica secretly changed her wedding dress into a stunning navy blue evening gown before their grand exit. It was totally worth it to see his expression during their 2nd first look 🙂
The couple loves champagne, Veuve Clicquot to be specific, so Cake Gallery created an edible copy of the champagne as a Groom’s cake. For their wedding cake, the couple chose to go with a traditional lace style 3-tiered round cake which was proudly placed in as a centerpiece in the Lee House’s living room surrounded by beautiful flowers from Celebrations. The band, Mr. Big & the Rhythm Sisters, was keeping the crowd entertained by playing jazz and Sinatra-like music, surprising everyone with glow sticks, balls, games, group singing, and dancing. At the end, the band lead all of the guests to the front of the house for a Grand Exit with bubbles and surprised everyone, including the couple, with the New Orleans style second line parade. A golf cart from Gopher Carts was already waiting for us at the end of the parade to take the couple around for an epic evening photoshoot.

Everything about Jessica+Shane’s wedding was perfect! Even though it was a bit hot during the day, an evening granted us with some stunning clouds for dramatic looking images – what a magnificent way to end Jessica+Shane’s most special day! Congratulations to the newlyweds – may your love grow only stronger with every passing day, and happiness and adventure always follow your marriage.
Yours truly,
Lazzat!
