Elegant Ballroom Wedding || Latia+Mark

We recently had an honor of being a part of Latia+Mark’s elegant ballroom wedding at Sound Side Club, Fort Walton, FL. But, before we delve into the details, here is Latia+Mark’s Love Story, courtesy of the couple!

“We met in a way that is becoming more and more common these days, online! We were both so busy in our day to day lives that going out and meeting people “the old fashion way” just wasn’t working. So with a “let’s see how this goes” mentality we signed up for one more dating site, we had both been on a couple before. After about a month or so Mark ran across Latia’s profile and was so intrigued by what she had written that he had to introduce himself. When Latia received his message, she was also very intrigued that she quickly responded and the rest was history. We are both very family oriented and on March 25th at one of the weekly family dinners they have at her grandparent’s house, Mark decided today was the day. He went over to her parent’s house early in the day, because he knew Latia had a meeting to attend that afternoon and asked her father for his blessing. Then that evening after everyone had eaten and before dessert, Mark went out to his truck and got Latia’s favorite cookie cake with a special message on it. In front of her family and closest friends, Mark got down on one knee as Latia opened the cookie cake. Our year-long engagement went by VERY quickly, but we had the best support system in our friends and family and had the most amazing vendors that made sure our day was spectacular! It truly was one of the best days of our lives.”

We met Latia and her family in summer 2018 and after our consultation off we went with wedding planning. For their wedding venue, Latia+Mark chose Sound Side Club on Hurlburt Field, a place that carries many family event memories. The rental company, the Event Room, did an outstanding job decorating the whole reception and ceremony areas, matching everything with the couple’s wedding colors of navy blue and blush rose. The tables were complete with flower centerpieces from Flower Girlz who also created bridal bouquets and boutonnieres. Cupcakes in blush and blue lace-style laser cut wrappers were perfectly placed around the wedding cake with a beautiful topper in mirror blush rose created by O’Hare Tasty Treats. Bridesmaids were dressed in blush rose gowns from David’s Bridal and Latia found her dream dress at Simply Elegant Couture Bridal salon. Gentlemen were dressed from top to bottom at Pensacola’s finest groomswear store, Randall’s Formal Wear.

As we couldn’t fully rely on the weather, Latia+Mark decided to hold their ceremony inside the club, right next to the reception room. DJ Ice, Bernard Heyward, was on point with the music, keeping everyone dancing, even the adorable flowers girls with huge blush bows in their hair. But, the most memorable part of Latia+Mark’s wedding was a choreographed dance by Latia’s sorority sisters, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. All in all, it was a beautiful wedding filled with happy tears, plenty of laughter, toasts, and dancing. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Bryant. May your family be blessed with lots of love, happiness, and endless amazing memories together for many many years to come!
