Palafox Wharf Pensacola Wedding || Nicole+Jordan
Nicole+Jordan had an amazing wedding at Palafox Wharf in downtown Pensacola on the most requested wedding date of the year – October 12, 2019.
But, let us step back a little bit… I met with Nicole+Jordan a little over a year ago when they came to our studio for a consultation. They love our style, and we feel very privileged they have chosen us to photograph their most important day.
One very interesting fact here: Nicole’s last name is Jordan, and Jordan is the first name of her husband.
How did it all start?! – Jordan, an avid fisherman, has been fishing since he was a kid and often went fishing on a boat in Saint Martin area near Tallahassee. Nicole wasn’t much into fishing until she met him.
They met online and their first date was at the Tallahassee brewery called the Proof. The moment they saw each other, they knew they were meant to be together!
He’s been planning the proposal for about a month. On that September Sunday of 2018, Nicole thought this was one of their regular fishing trips and didn’t think twice when Jordan kept asking her to throw the net in a certain direction. He had his GoPro set up to capture every second of this life-changing moment and had planned to have a lighthouse in the background and no other people. It was so romantic – no other place would be more perfect other than proposal on a fishing boat. Nicole said YES! And Jordan surprised Nicole even more when she saw all her and his families and friends at his mom’s house. 60+ people gathered from Alabama and Orlando to celebrate this special moment with the couple.
When the time came to choose a perfect wedding venue, the couple went with none other than Palafox Wharf in downtown Pensacola. It was an ideal representation of what couple loved the most – waterfront views, boats in the background, fishing décor and design. Almost everyone knew Nicole+Jordan loved fishing, and they were even gifted a plaque saying Two Less Fish in the Sea. Although they love fishing, they wanted an elegant wedding with hints of fishing décor. The groom’s cake had an incredible fish design, and few photos of the couple holding the best catch of the day, were displayed here and there.
That day, as long as it was, flew by so quickly. The couple and their wedding entourage chose to get ready right across the street from their wedding venue, at the New World Inn, in their beautifully furnished regal rooms. Bridesmaids and groomsmen kept the couple happy and entertained throughout the day, and Nicole was glowing and looked stunning in that lace gown. Their wedding planner, Neil Zanthos and his team, stayed on top of things to make sure everything was running smoothly with logistics and timeline. The rain waited until all guests were inside for the reception, where DJ was happily entertaining everyone with his upbeat music. Tons of dancing, mingling, laughter and love – this was one amazing wedding that we will always keep in our hearts.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Hults! May your love grow stronger with every passing year, and fish get bigger with every fishing trip!
