Pensacola Beach Military Wedding || Pippa+Logan

Hi everyone, Pippa here! You might know me as Lazzat’s assistant or “right-hand” as she likes to call me. You can usually find me assisting Lazzat at weddings or creating our social media and blog posts. That’s what makes this blog extra special for me because it actually features me and my wonderful Husband, Logan! This wasn’t our actual wedding but something even more exciting, it was our Pensacola Beach Military Wedding!!

Flashback about a year and 1/2 when I started working for Lazzat. We had just moved to Pensacola from Annapolis, Maryland and I was deep into planning my own wedding. Since our wedding would take place at the Naval Academy and they have very strict vendor requirements I made sure to choose our photographer while we were still living there. When I told Lazzat this we quickly decided that we would do a post-wedding sunset photoshoot on the beach when we got back from our wedding.

This seemingly small photoshoot grew into a huge project when we asked Hilton to use their beachfront venue. It was practically another wedding day including hair and makeup, flowers, a videographer, and even Bridesmaids and Groomsmen! Logan and I even started referring to it as our “less-stress wedding.”

As the photoshoot approached I was so excited to wear my dress again but I was even more excited about the uniform Logan was going to wear! Since we got married in the summer Logan had to wear his uniform with white pants, but my favorite uniform includes the “blood stripe” pants. I was so excited when he agreed to wear that uniform for this photoshoot because he knows it’s my favorite! So I have to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to my wonderful husband for putting on a wool uniform in the middle of August (in Florida!) so that we could be a Bride and Groom again!

Working as Lazzat’s assistant I knew exactly what to expect but it still felt so weird being on the other side of the camera. The day flew by and we had so much fun! It really was the less-stress wedding of our dreams! But enough about me because, as they say, “a photo is worth a thousand words.” Enjoy!

Thank you so much to the amazing vendors that helped make this day possible!
