Pensacola Summer Wedding || Evelyn+Colin

Evelyn+Colin had a beautiful summer wedding in Pensacola! Their ceremony was held in a gazebo downtown followed by a ballroom reception. They had such a fun-loving wedding party that kept the Bride and Groom stress-free all day. We’ve never seen Bridesmaids love their twirly dresses so much and they were spinning every chance they got! These two are so full of love for each other, please enjoy their love story as written by Evelyn below!

“Our love story: Colin and I met back in 2007, we were both students at Escambia High School who happen to live in the same neighborhood and ride the same bus. Colin was the one who saw me first. He would tell you that it was in that instance that he fell in love with me but it took him a little bit before he ever really talked to me. Colin got the courage to send me a friend request on Myspace and for some strange reason, I accepted it and sent him a message. We haven’t stopped talking since. Our friendship really blossomed over MySpace where in real life it wasn’t quite the same. We really started talking in person in 2008, when Colin went to my basketball games/track competitions and I went to his indoor band shows.

It wasn’t until after Valentine’s Day that I realized that the best part of my day was the bus ride to and from school when I could see Colin. And that’s when it dawned on me I had deeper feeling for Him. Of course, being a teen I couldn’t just tell him. So after some teasing and obvious flirting as he walked me to class and as we sat next to each other on the school bus. Colin kissed me! The best first and last first kiss. We had a very typical high school relationship, our parents went on our dates and drove us to them but it was worth it to spend time with him.

Once in College, we obviously went through some hiccups and things that could have broken our relationship but there was always love, perseverance and encouragement to pursue whatever career we thought was best for us. We were in it for the long haul. Time passed, I graduated found an “adult job” and was ready to settle down. When Colin finally graduated too (he switched majors) I was highly expecting a proposal. We went on so many big trips, yet Colin waited for the perfect opportunity.

It was our 10 year dating anniversary, we had this nice day planned and I just had a feeling. We went and had a nice meal, and Colin suggested to go on a new experience to Bamahenge in Elberta, AL. (Bamahenge is a stone henge replica) we walked around and explored as much as we could. As we explored Colin showed me pictures he had printed of our 10 years together. Each picture accompanied by a memory and a reason why he loved me. At some point, without knowing it, I had wandered away from Colin as we walked. I retraced my steps to find the love of my life down on one knee. He asked me the ultimate question and of course, I said yes!! We celebrated at Bamahenge, we were finally engaged! We ran to tell our parents who were both thrilled, then the wedding planning began! Our wedding was on September 1, 2019, and it was perfect! Lazzat was such a big help and she was able to capture all the moments so beautifully. We were so fortunate to have had Lazzat as our photographer. We now live our happy ever after in Pensacola, FL along with our two cute puppies.”

We are so honored to be a part of Evelyn+Colin’s wedding and we wish them a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness!
