I recently took a trip to San Francisco for a master photography class training. I was so excited about the class and also excited to go to San Francisco because it has been my dream to photograph at the Palace of Fine Arts and I knew that this was my chance to make my dream come true!
I’ve been wanting to photograph a dark and romantic couple’s session in downtown Pensacola, especially in the Cigar Factory, for a while now, and when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped right on it. That cooler night the downtown Pensacola was lit up in evening lights, the second floor of the Cigar Factory was ready to become a perfect backdrop for our dark and romantic couple’s session with a gentle touch of cigar haze and whiskey. A+Christian were thrilled to work with us, and of course, we wanted to know how did it all start. Here is their love story:
Lena+Harold chose to celebrate their marriage in December and for their wedding ceremony, they undoubtedly went with Ocean Springs Assembly, that had a special meaning for Harold as this was the church he attends regularly. Holiday lights, candles, fresh evergreen branches, sliced wood slabs for centerpieces nicely mixed with rich burgundy pop of color – ideal combination for this winter wedding.
A unique spin on a wedding theme – Star Wars Wedding in Scenic Hills - She loves Star Wars, so does he – so it wasn’t a surprise when Star Wars became a theme of their wedding day. With the main color being purple, you could see hints of Star Wars from every side: Millennium Falcon earrings and a guestbook, groom’s tie, a few Star Wars outfits, tables named after the planets from the trilogy, wedding favors, bride’s garter, and the sign that said “May the Force be with us as we travel through the galaxy of life. May we vow to fight the empire and stand for light and justice!”. And, of course, their wine glasses had to say what Princess Leia said when professing her love for Han Solo – “I love you!” with his infamous “I know!” So romantic, so unique!
As they got engaged at the Pensacola Grand Hotel, without a doubt Megan+Daniel wanted to celebrate their wedding there as well. Its grand lobby with the grand piano, authentic antique furniture, grand staircase – everything in this historic downtown Pensacola hotel was beautiful and just perfect for Megan+Daniel’s elegant black and silver wedding!
I met Timber+Alec not long before their Ft. Pickens sunset engagement session. The couple was so awesome to work with and so brave that they even climbed the wall and stood on the edge in order for us to create these epic images. In a few images, we chose to color the walls to match their wedding colors.
We loved photographing Ashley+Hill's Pensacola Waterfront Wedding. Here is their story and a few highlights from their Big Day.
This week on Lazzat Photography Vendor Spotlight we sat down with the Pensacola DJ and Entertainment services, Matt Powell of Powell Entertainment. We learned so much from our interview with Matt and hope that you do too!
Michelle+Brent met in high school, years later life brought them back together. They wanted a rustic barn wedding and Ates Ranch Wedding Barn was perfect!
Desireé+Delaine wanted to get married on the beach and chose Pensacola Beach for their destination wedding. A privately rented huge vacation house with stunning views of the water and beach decor was a perfect place to celebrate the couple's union. Friends and family helped the couple to set-up ocean blue and beach themed wedding decorations as well as glowing bistro lights above the pool in the large sandy backyard. Desireé is such a gorgeous bride, but especially her stunning blue eyes that resembled the color of the ocean!
The first time I saw Suzzallo library, it reminded me so much of Hogwarts from Harry Porter. Unfortunately, it was not actually filmed there but the resemblance is uncanny. But in that instance, I knew I wanted to do my next epic engagement session in Seattle there
For their downtown Pensacola wedding venue, Kerri+Cody chose St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. This place is very sentimental and means a lot to both the Bride and Groom's families. The Bride's grandpa's ashes were spread in the Memorial Garden of the church and the Groom's family has been attending it for many years.

We had so much fun with Melanie and Zachary during their EPIC Pensacola sunset sailing photo session with Capt. Karl from Spider Crab Charters. They are a fun, beautiful, and very smart pair. Zachary is a lawyer so he's comfortable wearing a suit, but this was his first time wearing one on a boat!
I met Jessica+Shane and their moms early this year when they were actively looking for a wedding photographer for their classic Pensacola wedding. After some deliberation, I was super excited to find out they chose us to photograph their most important memories - the birth of their family!
